coach helping senior executives greatly enhance the
value they bring to their organisation. He has nearly
30 years’ experience as a personal development
expert, is an author, trainer of executive coaches,
and the sponsor of a key international professional
network for coaches.
He helps leaders develop 3 key attributes of leadership: creating a compelling vision matched by concrete action (visionary leadership); motivating and influencing the people around them so that they engage wholeheartedly (mobilising people); and developing a high level of personal congruence so that people are inspired to follow (personal presence). Since 1995, he has been the Managing Director of PPD Consulting Ltd, a coaching and development firm for senior executives, which specialises in helping good leaders become great. Since 1984 he has been helping to bring best practise from around the world into business consulting and pioneered the application of Neuro Linguistic Programming in the UK, first in psychotherapy and later in executive coaching. He teaches internationally and speaks regularly at professional conferences. His clients include major global financial services and banks, the telecommunication sector, pharmaceuticals and public utilities. He is a UKCP registered psychotherapist; has trained in NLP, humanistic, cognitive and transpersonal approaches to psychotherapy; was a trustee of the Psychosynthesis training charity, Re.Vision; and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Neurolinguistic Programming in its early development.
