5 February - Presenting Brilliantly, with Jeremy Lazarus

Do you get scared before or during presentations?

Do you avoid situations where you believe you may need to present?

Is your career being held back by nervousness or even fear of presenting?

Do you coach anyone who fits into of the above categories?

Do you want to learn some presentation tips, and get the chance to practice them in an easy environment?

If so, THEN READ ON!

Almost everyone has to make a presentation at some point. Often, the more successful we are, the more presentations we are required to make, whether it be:

pitching for business
presenting ideas to your team
presenting to larger audiences such as departments or external audiences
going for a job interview
presentations to the media

That’s not to mention the ‘presentations’ we may make in our personal life, such as wedding speeches, asking for a ‘date’, talking at committee meetings.

Yet for many people, even the most successful and seemingly confident, making a presentation is something that scares them enormously.

This talk will give several practical tips to help you significantly improve your presentations, both in the way you structure and deliver them, and to help you remove nerves beforehand.

If you know you have (or might have) a presentation to make at some point after the session, have that session in mind when you attend. Even if you don’t have a particular event in mind, come along anyway – you will be able to use what you do learn during the session when you will be required to present.
